Parwood January 6th 2022

It was back to early starts on Tuesday for a day trip to Parwood. It is especially hard getting up in the dark in absolutely filthy weather. I wore five coats, and three of them at the same time. Definitely a day for the MacWet Gloves. But despite the horrible weather it was definitely worth the effort. As Askeaton and I are still struggling with our confidence I jumped her in the 1m and the 1.10. She jumped lovely clear rounds in both classes, she is such a clever and classy horse, it is definitely worth spending as much time as she needs regaining her confidence. Khalissy was a very good, if rather fresh, girl, warming up in the sleet, and jumped a lovely round in the 1.10, just having the second fence, and Arietta, who was so fresh I had to get off and lunge her, jumped a fabulous round to finish 3rd in the Foxhunter.

We will be back to Parwood again tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us, and the horses a little bit less fresh!
